Kasauli is a cantonment and old British town, located in Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The cantonment was established by the British Raj in 1842 as a Colonial hill station, kasauli is 77 kilometres (48 miles) from Simla , 65 kilometres (40 miles) from Chandigarh, and 50 kilometres (31 miles) from Panchkula , and lies at a height of 1900 metres (6322 ft).
Kasauli has a moderate climate. Winter temperature is approximately 0-2 degrees celsius, with Summer temperatures rarely exceeding 30 degrees celsius.
